Mental Health Workshops for Groups & Organizations
In all the live workshops I teach, most participants share that they've experienced burnout or vicarious trauma at some point. By the end of the class, lots of people comment on the value of being reminded that the problem isn’t them, and that even within an existing workplace, there are things they can do to take on less of the emotional load. As a therapist and an educator, my biggest goal is to support people so that they may approach their work, their relationships, and their life in a more compassionate and resilient way.
I’ve facilitated workshops for a range of organizations, including Zebra Centre, Alberta Teachers’ Association, APEGA, Canadian Forest Service, and the Advisor Office for Alberta Workers' Compensation. My workshops include:
Boundaries and Burnout
Vicarious Trauma
Self-Compassion
Understanding Intimate Partner Violence
Navigating Client Shame: Tools and Techniques for Therapists
For workshops over 1.5 hours, I co-facilitate with another psychologist to provide additional perspectives and support. Their presence ensures that small groups receive focused attention and, if needed, they can lead the workshop in my absence. Workshops are highly interactive, featuring individual reflection, small group discussions, experiential exercises, and open dialogue. I aim to create a curious, nonjudgmental space for participants to explore and grow. I believe in the practicality and real-world applicability of my workshop content. Each of the skills and tools we explore is not just theoretical, but directly applicable to your daily life.
